Webinars – Autumn term

Safeguarding in times of crisis

Thursday 23 September at 15:30

We will explore how your school can ensure continuity of your safeguarding provision, regardless of where staff are located at the time of a concern or in the event you have lost access to your core systems and network. With so much uncertainty around what will happen this autumn term, and beyond, with regards to the impact of Covid-19 and much concern about the increase in ransomware attacks on schools – now’s the time to review your safeguarding systems and procedures to ensure they’re fit for purpose.

5 ways to enhance your
safeguarding provision

Wednesday 6 October at 15:30

We all know how important it is that concerns are reported to the DSL immediately. Having a robust system in place to make sure this can happen is vital and if that system integrates with your safeguarding software, it quickly becomes an invaluable part of your safeguarding plans and procedures. We’ll share how teamSOS will enhance your safeguarding provision, speed up your response, further reduce administration and meet the requirements of KSCIE with regards to auditing and evidencing your response.

If I could say something to colleague schools/academies, having just been ransomware attacked, I would absolutely suggest you take all this advice offered by teamSOS and GDPRiS and look at the recommendations.

Preparing for, managing and recovering from a Ransomware attack

Thursday 14 October at 15:30

Following on from our really popular webinar with GDPRiS last term, we’re pleased to join them again for a more comprehensive view of Ransomware attacks.

With speakers from Derbyshire County Council Cyber Security team, Data Protection for People, SHI and others, you will understand the ways in which Ransomware attacks can affect your setting and how you can reduce the risk of an attack. Our speakers will also be sharing their advice on recovering from an attack should the worst happen.

We’re delighted to announce that there will also be a panel session hosted by Stephen Sanderson, Executive Director of Our Learning Cloud. The panel will share best practice based on what they have learned from their customers and some will share their own experiences of a Ransomware attack.

Now is the time to get the right plans, policies and processes in place to protect your school and stakeholders from further disruption to learning.
